Peer Pressure

Well, I'm getting in with the cool kids. I'm going to take a stab at this whole alphabet thing. I'm going to write posts pertaining to letters of the alphabet like Conner and Erin have. I won't be as good as them and post EVERYDAY, but I'll try my best.

This Past Weekend

This weekend we went to MS to have a surprise birthday party for Mark's Mom. It was great. We had her fooled good. I think her heart stopped for a second. The party was a good excuse to see my family too. Here is a picture of Mark's family at the party. I'm not sure why it's blurry, but you get the idea...One big happy family!

All Aboard!

The weekend was great. We had a fun family outting and friends over Saturday. I wish the weather would just stay this way!
Asher almost jumping out of his seat as we entered the festivities of Thomas the Train:)
Thomas himself--I have to admit it was pretty impressive

Mommy and Asher feeding a goat

Sweet Asher looking out the window of the train car
Beth and Lili Kay

Asher's buddies Andy and Hayden. Asher isn't real sure why Hayden has his hand on his head.

and... well, it's just a random, cute shot of Asher from the weekend. Standing alone is his party trick right now!

Spring has Sprung!

We're so excited about the long and mild days we've been blessed with lately. It seems like we have something fun planned for every weekend Mark is off. This weekend we're going to see Thomas the Train at the railroad museum. We get to ride a real train! I'm way more excited than Asher. I've been told the ride is beautiful in the springtime.

I just love this time of year! Here is a picture of some baby birds that just hatched by our backdoor. Their mommy made a nest in my hanging Southern Living bucket.

This is How We Roll!

Asher has finally graduated to a front facing carseat at the ripe age of 13 months and 4 days. Most babies are big enough at thier first birthday to have thier carseats turned around, but not our little guy. He really may be a few ounces shy yet of the 20 lb requirement, but he's so close it hurts. (There's no accurate way for me to check at home.) Rear facing was beginning to be very uncomfortable with his legs crunched up. Not to mention, staring at the back of a seat isn't exactly stimulating for an active boy like himself. We're so excited for him, and it's so fun to look back there and see his smiling face! It's a wonderful surprise everytime! (BTW, please note his thugaliciousness...sunglasses, flip phone, seersucker, AND being chofferred in his SUV.)

My Sweet Little Boy

At first glance you might think this is a sweet picture of Asher and his puppy-dog eyes. Though that is true if you look closer there is a little blue around his mouth.
Now look at these below. These are Crayola's new Crayon creations for toddlers. Being the therapist I am I thought they were cool. You hold them in your palm and scribble. Perfect, right! Well, against my expectations he didn't think they were all that cool. So to rid himself of them it was apparently easier to just eat them! The Tadoodle on the left is the way it's suppose to look. The one on the right is the way it's suppose to look if you take a bite!
