Crock Pot Apple Butter
1/4 bushel (which I guess is about a 5lb bag) apples peeled and cored and chopped
4 cups sugar
5 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Cook in Crock Pot on high 4-6 hours (I actually did mine in a stock pot on the stove top.) Mash with potato masher. I even went through mine with a hand mixer. Pour hot apple butter in jars immediately to seal.

Thanks! I'm excited to try this out although I'm not sure about the whole canning thing. How many jars does this make?
