Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

The Saturday after Christmas was possibly the best day of my child's life. He was finally getting over the ear pain, and he got to have some fun the morning we left. His grandaddy does his civil duties as the mayor of his town but also as a bus driver for the schools there. Just before we left Grandaddy took him to see the bus and to take a ride. Asher was all smiles as he and his cousin Annelise wabbled in their seats along the bumpy back roads. I just can't describe to you how much he loved it.
As if that weren't enough, we stopped at the airport in Columbus to see one of Asher's favorite things...planes. Mark was hoping to take him up close to the plane he used to fly, but it was actually at another airport. We were a little bummed, but Asher still got to see planes take off and land. It was definitely a good end to our trip.

Asher calling his Daddy yelling, "Mark" out the window. He had just heard me do it. Too funny!
Asher and Annelise (still in her night gown:)
Asher as usual with a cell phone. Are those allowed on school buses:)?
